2nd Sat May: Lynn Snowdon

It was with great pleasure we were pleased to present another Second Saturday Masterclass workshop to our local community led by local artist Lynn Snowdon. We are delighted to add Lynn to the local legacy of the Second Saturday masterclass workshops showcasing the diverse range of Morecambe Bay artists that wish to share their skills and talents with their community.

For those that don't know Lynn already or are not yet familiar with her work, there really is no end to what Lynn can do from textiles, to painting, drawing, printmaking and whatever else she gets her hands on, just check out the exhibition for a glimpse of the diversity of her artistic talent. For this occasion Lynn delivered a workshop using brusho inks. Unsurprisingly it was very well received and booked up in less than 24 hours! Running slightly differently than our usual drop in format this workshop was limited to 15 participants and demonstrated a range of skills in brusho ink painting and some alternative drawing techniques using items like sticks and feather quills.

Lots of great feedback was received and since we have seen people purchasing their own sets of inks and Lynn has returned to lead more relaxed and informal afternoon brusho workshops which have been well attended also.

In case you missed it worry not - Fortunately on the day we were lucky enough to have Bipolaroid Morecambe photography on the scene to capture the action. Great shots of a great day! Thank you to everyone involved. The Second Saturday programme is put together by our team here at The Exchange and is living proof of what can be achieved when we all pull togehteer.

Lynn's artwork is availale to buy in our online shop. Money going directly to the artist and any commisions back into the running of The Exchnage and creating more creative opportunities locally. #buylocal #buysocial #communitybusiness
