For July's Second Saturday we are excited to reveal a Make My Day extravaganza!
Make My Day! is a FREE family festival of creative fun held in the West End Gardens on Morecambe Promenade on Sunday 6th August. Get ready to enjoy a wonderful day out beside the seaside - hammering, sawing, playing, making and having fun with the whole family!
But until then - come and join us on West Street for a taste of what the festival has to offer as we unveil an exhibition of artwork created by artists contributing to the festival alongside some bookable animation workshops and a drop in mural activity.
Friday 7th July - 6-8pm - Exhibition Private View Please note: there is nothing private about it - you are invited and your friends and your gran and your next door neighbour! We will be open later than usual as we celebrate this fantastic show of 95% Morecambe Bay local artists - though 100% North West based - and look forward to the festival on the 6th. Let the count down commence!

Paper-cut Animation Workshops with Hannah Fox
10-11.30am | 11.30am-1pm | 1.30-3pm | 3pm-4.30pm
Hannah is a a freelance artist who works across various art forms. For Make My Day! Hannah will be employing a style of animation she has developed all of her own, which she describes as Junk Movies – small scale, handcrafted, strange and delightful miniature movies.
Films created in the workshops will be screened in the Rusty Roxy pop-up cinema at the festival.
Sessions will run for 90 minutes, please pre-book to avoid disappointment. Due to the fiddly nature of cutting involved - the workshops are suitable for children over the age of 8. Small family groups are welcome to attend together. Workshops are free, and no experience is needed, but places are limited so please book in advance by emailing info@makemyday.org.uk to confirm your place.
Check out an example of one of Hannah’s previous films “Barefoot Journey”.
